Thanks Yal! Seems my situation has gotten a whole lot worse! I'm still stuck in this Hybrid Rental! I knew it was the heater core when I called them, Chemicals up the windshield was a no brainer! Dropped it to Chuck's for $385, which turned into $490 because I went with the GM part! THEN seems the Water Pump was leaking, I ok'd this totaling me out at $755... Car now diagnosed with Leaking Upper Intake Gasket! She's being moved from Rad shop to the Mechanic up the road for an additonal $500 for Gasket! I took such good care of this car! 34,000 miles and she is an 04! Not to mention all the other issue's i've had, all the way down to the sunroof being fixed 3 times! The dealer went under in the recession and my case with Corp Chevy fell through the cracks after I had $1,000 of leaking inner hoses shooting water all over my car! Wow, to think I still have the check engine light on and a few other issues when I do get her back!

I've just recently bought a 2001 Monte Carlo SS, and I've had some major issues with mine, too. If you feel like reading a VERY long post on my issues, the thread is called "Wow, What A Day!" Or you can look at it, say TL;DR and move on with your day. :-)
Hope you are able to get your problems resolved. Mine is currently in the shop to have the Secondary Air Injection System installed (short version, car originally came with a CA emissions engine, dealer swapped engine out to a Federal emissions engine and didn't take the stuff off the old engine that makes it CA emissions.) I've had to track down a bunch of parts, at least 4 of which have been discontinued by GM, and just got the last 3 today. They've got to replace the Exhaust manifold, too, so it's probably a good day's worth of work.
I feel your pain, as I've had to have the driver's side wheel hub replaced due to a bad wheel speed sensor messing up the traction control sensor, I've had to have the Pressure Control Solenoid in the transmission replaced and the valve body and oil pump rebuilt, AND the 90 day warranty the dealer gave me on the car only covered $600 of a $2000+ repair.
These cars DO have their major bugs, don't they? But they're so damn pretty....
Welcome to the forums, and hopefully everyone here can give you some good information.
