Okay so here is the deal. I have an 03 Monte Carlo SS. And the battery is dead. So I can't unlock the doors. And I have recently rebuilt the car and so when I put the key in the door, it turns fine, but nothing happens so I'm assuming that the little metal clip that goes from the lock mech to the rods came off. I can still get in my trunk, but I can't seem to find a way to drop the rear seats down from the trunk. Am I missing how to do it? And if that works is it possible to pop the hood from underneath the car?

The Starter motor is accessible right under the front of the car, and it has a direct connection to the battery. Connect a battery charger positive terminal to the starter lead, and the ground terminal to some accessible metal pint that's grounded ( the screws on the starter would work).

Charge your battery and open the car.

 

If you can get into the trunk use a flashlight and look at the top edge of the back seat. There is a spring loaded hook that holds the seat in place (top right as you look at the seat from the trunk). Pull it towards you to release the seat and push it down. Crawl through and unlock from the inside.
