Newbie from New Lenox, IL (need info on engine paint)
I am a newbie to this forum and glad I found it. Just got a 2005 SS Tony Stewart Signature Edition MC a few months ago-love it. This is my second MC that I have owned; the other was 1972 that has since seen better days several years back. Have been a Chevelle dude for longest time, but can't go wrong with MC. Anyone have any tips on painting the engine cover/shrouds under the hood? mine needs touching up / cleaning up and looking for best way to do that.
Take care.
Welcome to the forum!
Congrats on your Tony Stewart edition. The rarest, and probably the most under-rated of the Nascar "driver edition" Montes. I've always liked some of the nice touches they added for your version. The orange stitching, and the matching fonts in the guages. All the other driver editions got the standard Monte Carlo numbers and lettering in the guages.
The Tony Stewart editions kind of took a hit in popularity when Tony switched to Toyota. Even more so when Joey Logano took over the #20 car. Hang on to your Monte! It truely is a rarity now.
