Hi all

recently picked up an 03 ls for 500. Had a blown head gasket when purchased so I got it pretty cheap. Fixed the head gasket, fixed the water leak by the cabin filter, fixed a few other odds and ends and now she’s purring real nice. Hope to use it as a fun commuter car for a few years before the head gasket goes again lol.

 

Welcome! Looks like a good deal! I have been involved with 3100/3400's for years. Some how they have a big reputation for blowing head gaskets, but I really don't see it. I am driving a 2004 Grand Am that has a 3400 in it and right now 208k miles on it. Lower intake gaskets, those are another story.....

But if your new Monte is running good, you will hopefully get a lot of good miles now!
