Head Gasket

RE: Head Gasket
hawkfn52,
Why do you suspect the head gasket?
I just did a breakdown to the heads (replaced one of them) on a 96 3.1 couple months ago. Ifyou are semi-talented in the art, this job takes a while but can be complished without too much trouble. First, make sure you have a breakdown manual to start with, it helps with torque and other misc spots. I replaced a lot in-addition to the head gasket just becauseI was into it, so that is something to think about also. There are a few tricky points that my manual did not mention and I found out the hard way, so if you get stuck just post up and we can walk you through it. One being the lower heater hose coupler (it pulls out via the tabs, can't really describe it, but you'll know what I mean when you get to it).
Good luck
