Default Help?

I've got a 2000 ss 3800
DDoesn't hold coolant, not leaking from radiator. It seems to be coming from the passenger wheel well kinda in the same spot the oil filter would be if it was on the opposite side. Could it be possible that it's an ac line or something?

I would bet that you have a cracked coolant elbow. It's a pretty common failure point, right under the alternator.

Not an awful job to do in your driveway, and you can get new elbows at the auto parts store in the Dorman HELP section.

Check this out:

Is it easier to get to if I take the rim off or will that even matter? And should I drain the radiator or anything before I start?
I don't have to crawl under my car in the drive thank God,

That won't matter, watch the video and diagnose. The coolant elbows are higher up than you might realize.

Try to get a light in near the idle pulley, or pop the belt off, pull the alternator and just make sure that the coolant elbow is actually the issue. I just did this for the third time on my car last year.

Will probably need to pressurize the system to get the leak to go so that you can see it.
