Friend has 1985 MC 4.3 V6. We need to change the radiator. I notice that on top is an AC pipe. Does that stay out of the way once the fan shroud is removed or do we need to do anything special with the ac line. Any other tips for replacing the radiator. It appears quite straight forward, but just asking before we get into it.

Pretty straight forward , you can remove the radiator without removing the AC line by working around or you can disconnect the line and loose the freon in the system providing it has pressure .

 

Thanks. No the ac system works. My guess is that the ac line really covers the fan shroud more than the radiator itself and once the shroud is off, then the radiator is smooth sailing.
