Default Hello Guys

Just figured I would make an account here since I am loving my Monte.

Previously owned a 2002 Monte SS that I was incredibly unhappy with due to the previous owner obviously neglecting it. (The underside was very very rusty.) I ended up giving it to a friend of mine so he could have a car, would have felt too bad about selling it since it had so many problems. When I first bought it I wondered why it was loosing fuel so fast and I found where it was leaking. Upon touching it, the line literally crumbled and fell off. Had been a pain for the almost two years I had it.

Now I have a 2006 Monte Carlo SS and it's super clean. Had been garage kept from the previous owner but was a really good deal. It is even fully loaded too. I have plans to do some nice upgrades to it engine wise but I don't want to go too overboard as it is my daily and probably will stay that way for a while at the very least. No real problems with it other than with the blend doors. (common issue I guess). Quite the noticeable upgrade from the 2002 Monte SS (non super) that I had which should be obvious. I just got done putting headlights in on the 2nd. As well as completely redid the audio in the car on the 25th.

Hello and Welcome to the MCF!

How does your new audio system sound. had mine redone and to be honest I felt the factory had an overall better sound. Have had 3 different shops fiddle with mine and it just lacks the highs and crisp hits.

I liked it, it was fairly decent, but my CD player was broken and figured I would replace everything. I went for Rockford Fosgates and right at this second I only have the 2 front speakers and they sound better than all 4 of the stock speakers (Waiting for my amp to come in because the stock one didn't work with the aftermarket speakers). That will change though Thursday.
