Hello All. I Have a Question reguarding my car.
First off i'd like to say hello to everyone since it's my first time being on this Forum. If you haven't allready guessed, I own a 1996 Z34 Monte Carlo. I've owned it now going on 4 years, it's been a really good car to me aside from wear and tear, and the occasional random parts bill it gives me. I've been having a security issue with my car as far as starting, I know it's not the starter and as far as my research goes i've come to the conclusion that its my Ignition lock cylinder that needs to be replaced. I've been told that it's the security chip on the key itself that they wear out over time. I've also been told that it might be a security module. My car works in every way aside from it starting, the "Security" light is on when it doesnt, I try both sets of keys back and forth, unlock my doors and lock them back, basically any crazy thing that I can think of to try and confuse my car into starting lol. Weirder still is that it seems to do it more often in the Summer time, during the winter it rarely does it. As soon as the summer heat hits my car has issues starting on a daily and usually multiple times a day..."Three times today at that". It's extremely annoying to have a vehicle that decides when it wants to start instead of the person that owns it. If any of you have any ideas, tips, tricks, cheats, ways around, or any information at all I would greatly appreciate it. I'm no car Guru but I am more than capable of replacing any part on my car internal or external, I just need to know what the problem is before I start tearing it apart. Thanks for your time, I know this is lengthly.

I know that we can't really give you the details on what to do... but I'm sure if you were to use a website like Google, and perhaps type something like... VATS Bypass... you could probably find out what could be done.
Basically you'll just need to put a resistor in line and it will allow the car to start.

Thanks for the info, I managed to do some more research after I made that post and I found out a way to "fix" my problem . I still don't understand how the Summer makes it worse, it makes me feel like there is another problem along with this one.
