Own: 2002 Monte Carlo SS. Dark Blue. Original owner 52000mi. Great car (even for a v6 front wheel drive) All factory except K&N air filter and Hyper-tech Power Programmer III. Even still has the factory exhaust. No rust anywhere, always garage kept and only driven in the warmer months , never seen snow or road salt.
Had to replace BCM at 46000mi (BTW since then the factory dealer had to program the BCM and now my interior lights don't come on when the door opens)
Just replaced both sides front wheel bearing hubs, wouldn't pass inspection for play in the wheel.... :-(
Owned: 1979 Monte Carlo Landau Green bought it with 78k mi sold with 110k mi. 305ci 5.0L with 750 quadra-jet and Metric 200 trans (bad pair-up) Replaced trans at100k.
