antifreeze in my oil

The coolant ports of the LIM in the 3400/3100 are the outside ports of the gasket. If you loan-a-tool from the auto parts store of a radiator pressure tester and bump the pressure to what the radiator cap says is max (or just a little under), odds are you will see coolant bubbling out of where the LIM and the heads meet. That is your 100% answer.
BUT, having traces of coolant in your oil is a fairly good sign of the LIM gasket failure. It's not often it's a head gasket.
FelPro makes the aluminum LIM gaskets ones. Order them from RockAuto (rock is a sponsor of MCF, they have posted a coupon code, save extra $$$ in the process).

I've done a few LIMs on 3100/3400s. I don't have a good step-by-step. Pretty much it's called just rip into it. Keep bolts grouped to where they go, take your time and with digital cameras, take LOTS of pictures (so if you question how something should be, you can refer back to the pic).
The job is not a big deal, just time consuming (I'd rather do LIM gaskets on a 3800 then the 3100/3400, it's a little quicker/easier on a 3800).

I've replaced the LIM gaskets and do not have coolant in my oil now which is fantastic. Thanks for all the advice!! I now have a "cylinder 6 misfire" code. I replaced the spark plugs and checked to make sure plug wires were attached properly. Any suggestions?

I just noticed this. Did you get your misfire addressed? First thought it perhaps an injector not seated in all the way.
