Default 2nd Monte in the family

I bought a 97 LS for my daughter to drive a couple of years ago when she turned 16 and it has been very reliable. When I needed to get a different car I started looking at Monte's myself.Three weeks ago I got a great deal on a 01 SS with 41,000 miles.I know the steering shaft will be a problem sometime, anything else I need to watch out for other than it will flat out fly.

Other then the steering shaft, the only other thing to watch out to is the transmission, it is a very weak one. I too have an 01 SS, got it last january and right after my warranty was up parts in th tranny went, and I had to shell out alot of $, the cost of repairs were reduced becuase of the mileage of the car(I think it was like 25,000 miles) and the fact that a car with such low mileage should not have had any problems.
