Thumbs up 1998 Monte Carlo...

Hi, my name's Ted and I'm here to get a little advice on my 98' Monte. I have an opportunity to get 4 2006 Equinox rims for $60, but want to make sure they will properly fit my lug and offset (which I'm not sure what this is) I know they're both 5 lug, but want to make sure. Also, the tires that correspond with the Equinox rims would be 235/65/16, but websites say Monte Carlo's are supposed to use 225/60/16's? Will this be ok to use? Any advice is appreciated.
thanks,
Ted

As far as the rim, yes. They both share a 5x115 bolt pattern.

not 100% sure on whether or not you'll run into issues with that tire size.

Thanks for the quick reply, much appreciated. What would be the biggest worry on the wheel size. Thanks in advance!

tires should fit the rim in monte size as long as there are no backspacing issues youre all set. I ran into issues trying to use chevy venture rims i bought for 60 bucks because they didnt clear the calipers. Sold them on for a profit tho

Thanks TPS. I only have the rims right now, but is there a particular wheel size I should be looking for to try and avoid caliper clearance?
thanks!

well the steel wheels have a 6.5 back space and barely clear and the 6.5 rims pinned on the caliper and wouldnt spin so do a test fit make sure it spins
