'01 noob here
New to the Monte Carlo world. I just purchased a '01 Monte. So far the only thing I'm not liking it the fact that it's an automatic. I've always tried to stick to manual. Really enjoying the car so far. It is a step down from my mustang but still worth it and a needed move. I'm always open to advice and tips since I really know very little about these cars.

Darion, Welcome 2 the Forum,
I think U took a Step Up from your Mustang
What type of Mustang did U have ? Mustang has a great V8, but I think the Monte 3.8 six is a superior/proven engine compared to the Mustang "6".
Were you forced 2 get a automatic, since U prefer stick ? Is your Monte a LS or SS ?
Spend some time & explore the forum & you will get a lot of useful information and & helpful advise. Good Luck

Unfortunatly my stang was only a 6 so there isn't that much of a power change for me. The Monte is a 3.4 LS. If the lot had a stick that's what I would've gotten but for 5k I can't really complain that much either way. I would like to find some fairly cheap upgrades for the car though till I can actually afford some more expensive items.
