I just Purchased a 2000 Monte SS and there are a couple of issues I could use some guidance on. My Powered Moon roof opens all the way back but some times it will only go back about 6 inches, I will try to open several times and it will only open 6 inches. After it sets for several hours I will try it again and it will open all the way????? Also there is a lot of clunking under the car but does not seem to be in the front end linkage or in the steering. Is there some sort of stabilizer that may be doing this??? One last Problem, the blinker works most of the time but ocassionally it just decides to not work...any ideas??? Thanks for the help!!! Also where can I get the Monte Carlo decal for the top of the windshield?

When it stops, does it make any noise like the motor is trying to work?

Your Blinker and Moon roof issues almost sound like a short in the wireing or possibly a bad ground.
Are you seeing any other funny electrical issues, like blown fuses?

I have the same problem with my turn signal too. Mine doesn't work more times than it does work and sometimes if I fiddle with the hazzards it works again. I'm planning on taking my dash out to see if I can find a short somewhere.

 

I just had mine in for the blinker issue. They changed the hazzard switch and it cured it. I guess the flasher is built into or needs the hazzard switch to work properly. I was lucky and had extended warranty cuz that little switch was $70.
