How did you like Furious 7 anyways David? Don't tell me too much - I haven't seen it. I'm a fan who defended Walker even when it wasn't cool...

 

If Jr had stuck it to Harvick at the end there he would have had second - maybe caught Jimmie. I don't want him to plow through everyone like his old man did, but a little contact is okay. Harvick moved Joey like he needed to and even Joey was cool with that. Jr could have dished some of that and didn't, so I'm disappointed. But that's Jr. That was Mark too, of whom I was a big fan, so the problem is with how I choose my hero.

I had 3 in the top 4 - I hope that hold up for my 1st win this year, but I didn't have Jimmie and Jr never led a lap so we'll see how that holds up. At least Kenseth didn't win cuz it seems like "they" really wanted that for some reason...

 

Did anyone else notice the luminated pit row sign for the 55 car? The sign I'm referring to was the one they hang out on a pole for the drivers to see as they come in for their stops. That was new to me - the 55 had what looked like a neon electrically lit sign. I didn't know they could do that, but it looked pretty cool...

 

I only caught the last 25 laps and honestly that front battle between Johnson, Harvick and Jr was some of the best racing so far this year. Kevin gets sideways and then later gets into the wall (for a good distance too) and was still able to fight back from both. Wonder where he would have finished had he not had the wall contact because he was able to get right back up within a car length of Jimmie after getting sideways.

 

Everybody has illuminated signs for the Texas race. I didn't actually notice this during the race on tv



How long has this been practised? It's been a few years since I've been to a night race, but I haven't seen this and I think it looks awesome! I want one! Maybe a #8 one and my wife can hold it out in the driveway when I come home from work...
