along with almost half the field. It was only when Dale died when everyone woke up and started using all this gear. His death changed the sport as we know it now!

He was the only one who swore he would never do it.

Once again, I am in this thread because my family has a background of Figure 8, Sprint Car, and Midget racing on the old ovalof Ascot Park.

I also was an extremely avid fan of Motorcycle Speedway.

Any of those sports don't have room for intimidators or whatever Dale and his fans thought he was.

Over aggressive driving in those racing sports mentioned above can cause serious maiming and even death.

Gentlemen racers were highly regarded when I was growing up and I think they still are.

Look at the popularity of Gordon , Jr., Johnson, Edwards, etc.

Now Stewart & Busch I can't explain, I guessthey took over where Sr. left off.
