Unplug the MAF and see if it'll stay running

Shift selector switch might be going bad. Have you tried to start the car in neutral? Try that and tell me what happens.

Yes have to start the car in neutral. Have try to relearn but still have the securtiy light flashing. Had througth about bypassing the PASSKEY II system.

Well finally got mine 98 monte carlo fixed. Bypass a malfunctioning "reader" in the ignition lock cylinder. Had another car to drive so haven't been in a hurry but broke a timmimng belt yesterday so had to do something today!
