Default wiper motor quit working

Any help out there? I don't have a wiring diagram, I could hear the relay when I turned the switch on. I replaced the motor, only had low speed? Started raining I then wipers on, nothing. Got it home just driving it on clear days. Out of the.blue wipers started working. I had left the switch on. I used an ohm meter no broken wires. I replace the switch, still no wipers. I'm clueless.
Any suggestions? I'm willing to check anything.

since you replaced the motor and it worked on low.
it sounds to me like a bad switch..
Was the motor new? or used?

I would also try using direct 12 volts to it and see if it works...(Motor)
If it does... Then I would go to the switch next.

Iit was a new wiper motor.. I used a 12V. Supply. The Motor works. . I already replaced the switch after the motor replacement didn't work.

I would now check all the grounds. Body and wiring.
I would also remove the fuse box and check for any rust/corrosion
In and around all the fuse connections. Try changing the location of the fuse to an open fuse position or hook it to the acc fuse and see if the wipers turn on and off correctly... im not to sure where your wiper switch is. .. (dash or turn signal) i know you said you replaced the switch.. maybe.. u got a bad one?

I know you may have tried this..but im going to ask anyway..

While you had the motor out..
did you dbl check to be sure the wipers moved freely moving them manually? (By hand) maybr the assembly is in a bind?

They either work or quit working. I wish I knew what reading I should get the 3 wires that plug into the motor. The center wire is hot with the key on. I don't know if the top and bottom wires are suppose to be hot or ground using the switch. I changed the mechanical pump to an electric pump. It works fine. The center wire jumps over to the pump so I know the switch grounds the pump to complete the circuit.
Hope this makes since.

The old and new motor both work when I put 12 volts to the bottom terminal.

Since I changed to an electric pump could it work if I had a bad ground? The pump conversion kit works. You people are giving me great intelligent info. Some I never thought to check. It ain't gonna whip me, I hope. Once I get this problem solved I get to start sanding it and prep for paint.
