I would say hammer, chisel and pliers would do the trick. Take your time and don't rush so as to avoid as much as possible damaging the seal seat of the differential. It should have came out in one piece, so just keep trying to mangle it enough with the hammer / chisel to where you can get some pliers on a section of the seal and pull it free.

Ya ill have to pick up some new chisels. It has been snowing here every day, so cant work on car much,to cold outside.Maybe 30 to hour each day
