Default Window problems

Having window problems again. Driverside window will roll down, but not up. My wife took it into the dearship to have the oil changed when I was deploy with the Air Force. She told them not to roll it down and I think the moron heard roll it down. She made them rool it back up. When I call the dealership to see what they did with it, of course they show no record of touching the window. Use to be able to minipulate the switch and it would work, but now that has no success. Was wondering if any one had an idea on how to hot wire the motor to bring it up. The only place in the local area that has a replacement switch is the dealership and I will be leaving again before they would get it in. Any help would be appreciative.

well if you are lucky enough to knwo it is the switch then you can sometimes flip the switch over the opisit way and make the up be down and the down be up. Thsi would alow you to have the ability to move the window up.

But if it is not the switch it will be the regulator. and they are not cheap the good news is if you you can change your own oil you can changed them out and they would be half th cost of having it done at the dealer.

Also do you have a bone yard any place close to you that miight have a monte in it? if so you can get the switch for the 6th gen from 00-05 and im sure there are others jsu tnot sure what it might be. could try a impala switch also. .
but the good news is they are not hard to get to the switch and rather easily changed out,

basicly just jumper power to the motor, if ya hook it up backwards all that will happen is that it'd go down instead of up.

might ask your dealer if they searched for other dealers in the area to see if anone showed having one, or call the next closest dealer. you could also check aftermarket, i dunno if anyone other than gm makes em, but something you could try.

I have seen window switches on ebay for around $60. I am going to order one myself. Good luck.
