Window button removal

Can anybody tell me how to remove the window buttons in my drivers door. I need to replace the one for the driver side window and can't seem to get the plastic part out after removing all the screws.

there is a clip i think i remembered. i stick a thin flathead screw driver in it and wiggle on it until it pop off.
