Unhappy Whinning Noise in Reverse

OMG...what did I do to deserve this....

So I just got back from doing a quick sales stop, and getting some lunch...I reversed a total of 3 times during this trip, and noticed a new noise that was not there this morning...

While i'm reversing (both just slowly, and when I reverse with my foot into the gas) my car is making a whinning noise. Like I said, it didnt do it this morning, now its doing it Any suggestions as to what the heck it could be?

Thanks

check your fluids, then assume the worst.

Checked ALL the fluids, including power steering....everything appears to be perfectly fine...

how long has it been since the ECM problem? Call it an error on their part and get it checked out? haha

Well, I took it straight to the dealer, (after going home and removing the STB, which i'll explain in a second)...And the mechanic drove my car with me in it...no noise what so ever!

My reasoning in taking of the STB was that the sound it was making was identical to the one it made when my power steering pump went out...Well when I intalled the STB, I had to sorta press down on one of the power steering hoses to get the bar all the way down...NOT much at all..basically it touched as I tightend down on it...so I thought great, something went wrong with the power steering pump, and thats why its making the noise...so to avoid any "you caused it my xyz" crap from the dealer, I just removed the bar...

As I back out of the driveway, no noise...I though great, it won't do it at the dealer...of course it didnt.

BUT this leads me to believe that there is something wrong with the way the STB sits in my car. (you would all laugh if you saw how little it rest on this hose, but IDK what else to think at the moment) I know it does not seem like that could be the issue, but what else? I take of the STB, and it all went away...

So now i'm home, and tried putting washers under the STB to raise it a tiny bit...While it touches less now, it still touchs ever so slightly when I really tighten the bolts...

Thoughts?

Do they make an STB specifically for the 3.5 and 3.9L that has a little more clearance?

On a good note, the tech driving my car told me my car was awesome, and that it was super strong. He said you would never know it had 82K on it with the way it drove...He also said he could tell just by driving it, and looking at it that I went above and beyond normal maintenance with this car! That I do!!!!
