my g/f just got a 01 monte carlo ss.. she told me it was making noise so i went and got it.. i couldnt find anything wrong untill i went to back it out.. when it reverse it makes a grawling noise. even not moving as soon as you shift to reverse with foot on brake it grawls.. the faster you move in reverse the louder it is. any ideals?

 

Does it ONLY do it in reverse? Could it be possible that its the front pump? I'm sure the others will chime in with more knowledge then I.

 

it only seems to do it really loud in reverse. somtimes i think i hear it softly in other gears but mabee im hearing things because in reverse its really obvious.
