Exclamation Turn Signal Multifunction Switch?

Hi all,

I am posing you with another question regarding my 01 SS. I lost my low beams on the way to work yesterday morning in the pouring rain and had to blind people with my high beams to make it safely...for me. Anyways, my dad and I think its the Turn Signal Multifunction Switch seeing as this happened in our Impala but with the high-beams as well. We know how to do the install and everything and I managed to find one from an auto re-cycler near us for only a $100 with a 100 day warranty. I just wanted some input to make sure we are fixing the correct issue. Thanks!

I had the same problem w/ my 2001 and it was the circuit breaker in the fuse and circuit box under the hood but make sure if it is to get the right one because it happened to me and they would not take it back even though they cross-referenced themselves and another time I only had highs both my headlights blow out at the same time that was the problem anyways. I hope this was helpful

to all, yes it did fix my problem. the clicker between high and low beams got really bad apparently because my new one works like its supposed to. i know you can get new ones of ebay CHEAP just make sure there is a difference in whether or not you have steering controls or not.

I dont even have a headlamp relay under the hood? Im pretty positive that mine is the multifunction switch, the lowbeams didnt work one night untill I hit the highs, then the lows came back on... only happened once, but once is enough.

Thumbs down

well the new multifunction switch is in.. still no low beams. tracing the pink (highbeam) wire I have 12v on it, when I switch to highbeams it drops to .8 volts. the brown (lowbeam) wire I never have 12v on it. lights off or on. I highly doubt I have 2 bad switches. Think Im just gonna sit here and drink myself to sleep!
