I agree with maniac I would not do a flush just drop pan change filter and refill. I havmt heard bad about any filter so no worries there on what to use. I reuse the molded rubber gasket many times with no issues as long as it looks in good shape and not torn etc I would reuse it.

I disagree on Jason saying not to reuse the gasket so I totally didn't side with him lol. It sure can't hurt using a new gasket but I never have used a new one and i never had any issues
