Default Trans Slip/Skip/?

Hello everyone.

Ive been noticing lately that on my 2000 LS Monte when I get on the gas, it's like not all the power is there. Standing if you hit the gas it feels like your bogging out. And when I'm on the highway getting up to speed (usually 3rd gear) at 2500rpm I bog to where you feel you lost power. I was wondering if anyone else has had these issue?

Also another thing (I don't know if its cause my KN Intake) when I'm in park n rev the engine. It will not go higher than 4k rpm. When I'm going 10mph and in neutral. Has no problem red lineing. (I did it once to see if it would still stop at 4k).

Thank you for any input.

Not reving over 4k rpm in park is normal. It's a park rev limiter. Trans issues I'm not so sure what you mean by bogging down. If it was slipping it would rev up but not go anywhere or go very slowly

My assumption is that you are running very rich, or your catalytic is starting to clog.

I have gotten the p300 engine code which is cylinder misfire, could be cause by plugs and wires or catalytic. I replaced plugs (Original Plugs 147k on them) and wires and I havnt seen the code for awhile it will occasionally come back for 1 day then go.

And turbo it's like it's slipping but the revs sent going anywhere. As I do sometimes it will slip to where it dosnt want to shift so I let of the gas and get back on lightly and it will be fine. It's hard to describe but also if I need to get up and pass some body at 30mph I'll step the gas and it just sits at the rpm and increase slightly in speed.

Checked your trans fluid lately? Is it discolored and no longer red in color? Whens the last time you had the fluid and filter changed on the Trans?
Does it smell burnt?

Could also be a clogged catalytic converter...

But I'm leaning towards a bad trans... Possible bad pressure sensor...

a Miss fire code could also mean a clogged/clogging catalytic converter...
Does it run better when its cold? does it act up once its warmed up?

Can also be caused from lack of fueling. Perhaps dirty injectors?

When I bought this car in December of 2014 they said they rebuilt trans at 135k miles and showed me all the receipts. It now has 148k. Fluid is still red and dosnt smell burnt. And it actually runs better warm. Besides accelerating is better cold.

My friend was riding in my car and he said it sounds like the engine is not getting enough fuel or air he dosnt know which one.

Like Chibi (Mike) said:
It could be dirty injectors or possibly with all the mileage on it... It could be a failing fuel pump... or a clogged fuel filter.
Check the fuel pressure at the fuel rail...
You can get a fuel pressure tester at most auto parts for free to check it out...Or have a shop check it.
Keep us posted on your progress and or what the resolve is..
