Default 99 Monte Carlo 3.1L - Engine/Trans Slip

I put in the STP (red bottle) to save gas and clean out my fuel tank a couple weeks ago. Every since then my car has been slipping when I make left turns. Nothing too crazy. I'm scared that it might be my transmission. The shop just dropped a motor in it 2 months ago and I started driving it 3 weeks ago. People told me it could be that I didn't put in the STP the correct way, which I didn't. I didn't let all my gas burn out before I put it in the tank. I think I need to change the fuel filter. I know for a fact I don't need an oil change because I just got a new oil filter when the motor was dropped in there. Someone told me I may need to replace the transmission mount and that should solve the problem. I'm hearing numerous things. What do you guys think?

Hi `Dez,
Your STP fuel treatment will not affect your transmission. I suggest that you go back to the shop that installed your engine & have them check it out...How many miles are on your trans ? Was the fluid/filter changed on your trans ?

Was it a mechanic that said you needed a new trans mount ?
Please supply as much information as you can about your problem so that our member's can assist/help. > Good Luck
