I bought a 95 z34 with 112,306 miles on it.. well the next day it wouldnt shift but out of1st gear and thats it, but it would shift into a higher gear if u let up off the gas... Well after u drive it for a short time , it wont even shift by letting up off the gas.. 1st gear always shifts fine.....I just tuned it up, new plugs, wires and coils. replace modulator valve.. the car will fly , but wont change gears....

Do i need to put it on a computer, or should i try changin tranny fluid and filter... any ideals or response is appriecated.. thanks

 

See how much fluid is in there. It couldn't hurt to drop the pan and replace the filter and fluid, but just be aware that you MIGHT need another transmission.

Well it has to be getting power, because limp home is 3rd, not 1st gear. Low range band is used for reverse and 1st. Could be the servo that applies the 2nd clutch band or the band became dislodged or broke.
