Torque Converter Disaster!!!
Well, it all started about 8:30am. I got to school and got rite to workin on getting my converter installed. by 11am it was installed and ran it through the gears on the lift, everything was fine. 12pm i drove it out of the shop and pulled my friends VR-4 in the shop. 12:45pm took out monte onto the road right outside my school. I powerbraked the car and reved it to 2800 RPM, a little under the stall speed. Let off brakes, and little screech and pulled the front wheels about 2" off the ground. then it reved to 5600 RPM a shifted into second. as soon as it hit second, something went completely wrong. The car reved like it was in nutral, and wouldn't shift. I downshifted and nothing. Got to College Dr. and tried Reverse, Still NOTHING. I was like, Holy ****, Did my tranny just take a ****. Me and my friend Grant pushed the car off to the side and looked around the bottom of the car. No Tranny Fluid leaking. about 3pm, i got the car towed back to the school. I talked to my teacher and he said, as soon as i jumped on it, it prolly pulled the Converter out of the Input Shaft. Monday or Tuesday, im gonna bring it back into the shop and try using washers to bring the converter closer to the tranny...

RE: Torque Converter Disaster!!!
I figured out the problem. It is the Converter. The converter will not line up with the splines on the tranny, thats why it keeps messin up. im just gonna throw the old TC in and say screw it...
