My monte has 114,000 miles on it. Never been in a flood or anything like that. I have owned it for 5 years and work at a car dealership so maintaining it is easy. Has oil changes on time, new tires, transmission, upper and lower intake manifold gaskets, mass airflow sensor. Never had the cooling flushed that I know of. Hope this helps....
