synthet oil bad for real high miliage?

Default synthet oil bad for real high miliage?

ok i thought i read or heard somwhere that synthetic oil is bad for a car that has rather high miliage becuase the oil is thiner...it's oil change time on my daily driver that has 197xxx miles on it

and i have run nothing but castrol gtx highmiliage in it since we've bought it and am thinking of going synthetic... is there any truth to this?that its bad? or should i be all good?

Can't say for sure, but with over 600,000 miles on synthetics now, I sure am a believer.

I think you should be fine! Just use the same grade of oil in a synthetic form so if your using 10w-40 Castrol, then stick with 10w-40 synthetic.

I switched my truck to synthetic at 205,000ish miles, and now i'm at 230,000 with no problems at all.

I am a 100% believer in synthetics!

well reading article after article searching a few dif forums...basicly if it leaks....it'll leak worse so as far as i know it doesnt leak....i think ill take the plung and switch over...worst case

well switched it over yeaterday... man it runs smooth... noticed a 100 to 200 rpm drop at cruising speeds saweet

if your car doesnt leak,you shouldnt have a prob switching. you will know if you have a oil leak
