Default Starting Trouble

I am new to the fourm
We have a 2001 pace car edition the problem first started with the traction control light and abs light coming on and off and now has progressed to this problem and I am at a lost. Sometimes you can get in and turn the key and hear all the elctronics come on line and the car will start but more that 60% of the time now and seems to be getting worse you put the Key in turn it do not hear any of the elctronics coming online turn the key and get NOTHING no starter noise no clicking as it would be a dead battery just nothing . All in side lights radio and headlight all come on but WILL NOT start. any one can tell me anything about this.

Mike

maybe you should check all your fuses to make sure none are blown or lose

i would take it and have codes checked...sounds like more than one thing wrong with the car, and if its electrical you dont want to just start changing random parts that 'could' be the problem. sounds like something electrical like a sensor or something, and i would have the battery tested, it may not be fully gone, but it might be gone enough to cause this

If you hold the key in the start position when it doesn't start, will it start if you hold it for a few seconds? After my traction control light/abs came on I had/have the same problem. I can turn it to start but nothing happens and if I leave it there it will start in a couple of seconds. Doesn't happen all the time. I figured out it's the igntion swtich and there is a TSB out for it. It doesn't bother me though, so I'm just going to ignore it.
