Default Starting Probs

I thought my battery was being drained by my stereo, but after some research, I don't think that's the problem. My battery was checked and its fine, I took off the alternator and had that checked, it was fine. Today I disconnected the battery, when I got to work and reconnected when I was ready to go. The car barely turned over and did not start. I blew the horn, its nice and loud. Turned it over again and it did not start right away, kinda dragged but it started. I'm thinking it's the starter, any suggestions? Thanks.

What year is your car and what motor? Hit the starter solenoid with a happer or rachet and see if it starts easier. If it does, then it's your solenoid. I had an old Buick that did that. )
