Soundz like the holder was under rated for the size of the fuse you're running. Need to go to a bigger fuse holder. I'm having problems with my Moster fuses BREAKING, not blowing. Stay away from the Monster fuses

RE: in line fuse probs HELP please...
i don't know much about wiring amps or systems in general, but if you have a 1600 watt system running off of lets say 13V that would be 1600/13 = 123 Amps being that Amps = watts/volts. so if you run a 75A or 100A fuse, that will burn up no question. go with a fuse bigger than 123A and try that out. hope this helps!
(a handy way to remember the power equation is 'PIE' or P=IE, with P=watts, I=amps, E=volts)

RE: in line fuse probs HELP please...
good call drew i should have remembered my physics a lil better. when workin on cars u never use a fuse that is rated higher than spec...it can do absolutely no damage or it can literally melt an entire wiring harness 2gether (yah try replacing that) so i would suggest that u check the rating of ur holder and use a 125 amp fuse...and i checkd my fuse and its only 100 A but thats what the capacitor is for
