Smog Fail
#31
California emissions are different too, aren't they? I sell parts, but most converters I sell are not legal for use in California. I assume special "heavier" converter are used there? This could make finding a used converter (that will work) difficult. I still have my stock converter which I would sell or even loan you, but the shipping wouldn't make it worth your while anyways.
Its weird that you have to smog just to unload the car. Here the responsibility is on the buyer.

Oh damn! Today is exactly one day too late to ask me! Just today I just sold the thing to somebody today for a hundred bucks! I can not believe the irony that today you ask. Hope is not completely lost on this yet, as I have not taken payment. A customer of mine at work was having problems with a Grand Prix that he thought was a restricted converter. A new one from my store was going to cost him $400, so I told him he could try my used one on the car (it is a complete flange-to-flange converter with the u-bend deleted) and if it fixes the problem he could have it for $100. So he may still bring the thing back to me if it doesn't fix his problem. I feel really bad as I don't really care if I make money off it and would just as soon help out a friend. I'll keep you posted whether he brings it back or buys it. Sorry man

its all good no worries, i appreciate it though. may monte's of the month, unite! haha. if he brings it back or if you find another one randomly since you sell parts, please let me know we can work something out. got a few more weeks left before smog deadline is up. i've been looking pretty hardcore every day for about a month with no luck
