Shouldn't my fans stay on?
I got an 04 MC 3.4l and i was just under the impression that the cooling fans were to stay on after shutting the engine down until engine is cool. The fans on my car shut down with the engine. Are they supposed to?
Yes on a stock configured car they shut off with the key, a popular feature of a pcm tune is t have the fans stay on for a few minutes after the key is turned off.

Even if you tune it into the PCM it doesn't always work. The car sometimes just has to be too hot for them to stay on.
Or if your temp sensor has gone bad and the car doesn't know exactly how hot the engine is, it will stay on for a few minutes as a precaution.
