SECURITY message
Hi all. I haven't posted for a while and I wanted to share something with you that I learned recently. Some of us have seen the SECURITY warning pop up on the message center and not long afterwards you find yourself at the grocery store and the car refuses to let you start it. We have tried things like turning the ignition ON and OFF three times quickly and various other things to get it to work. Well I asked a friend of mine that owns a garage and he told me to turn the key to the ON position for at least ten minutes. After a full ten minutes turn the key off and then your car will start. It has worked for me every time. This is something that will get you home and it only takes ten minutes. I usually just sit and listen to the radio and watch the clock. Remember that it has to be a full ten minutes. I always give it eleven minutes on the radio's clock and it starts right up. I hope this helps some of you. Good Luck.

Mine flashes when it does that. It'll start when it quits flashing which takes about 10 minutes. After the first of the year I'm going to get the ignition cylinder replaced.
