Default Reasons for ABS/Service Traction....

Hey guys, been a while... after fixing the ABS/Traction issue back in March, I had the unfortunate luck of the light coming back on. after reading some posts on this forum, I replaced my RF wheel hub, since I replaced the LF 3 months ago.... the ABS light came back on. I later changed my rotors and frt brakes, being I was getting vibration/shaking while braking... the light was off most of the day, then it decided to ding and stay on... I'm not quite sure what other things I should look for or try?

After all my work, I had noticed after the ABS/traction signal comes on, I shut the car off, start again put it in gear and feels like a slight 'drag' momentarily, with a quick 'whine' noise.

It is possible that you haven't replaced the bad hub. I had one of my rear wheel hub sensors go bad and replaced on my 03 SS after experiencing the same thing - traction control and ABS lights would come on and it would intermittently disable traction control.

06mistreSS (Matt) is steering you in the right direction.

If it is throwing a code, your best bet would be to get it read, this will tell you exactly which wheel bearing is causing the problem. There is also a chance that is may be the wires coming down, or leading away from the wheel bearing, just depends on how you are looking at it lol, sometimes they get weathered and crack, mine first had an issue after hitting a bump and the front right side wires separated, so I replaced the wiring and then the bearing on the opposite side decided to go lol.

You have 4 wheel abs brakes so my money would be on one of the rear wheel speed sensors needing replacing

The rears tend to build up more debris and are more likely to go bad compared to the fronts. The sensor itself is within the hub thus having to replace the entire hub if the sensor itself goes bad.
