7th Gen ('06-'07): Readiness monitors reset on startup.
I'm losing my mind here... I have one week to get my 06 ss inspected, and all my readiness monitors keep reseting... it was good to go Monday morning, until I stopped for gas on the way to the inspection station. 😣
I've checked my grounds, battery terminals... and had the battery tested... it read as 850 cranking amps, which is 50 amps higher than the specs for the battery. Is that an indicator of an internal problem the parts store clerk is unaware of?
Is there a circuit breaker somewhere? Sometimes the car refuses to start... everything gets power and then loses it, repeatedly, if I hold it in the start position...
Please, any help would be greatly appreciated...

I'm not sure but I think I remember someone had a similar issue in a 2000 and it was a relay - maybe the power for the lights/radio after you turn the ignition off? But that also may have been 15+ years ago, so I wouldn't wager on my memory. But, make sure all connections are tight - wiggle your thumb on the relays & fuses to maybe reset a poor connection. And your BCM & PCM connectors. One is under the drivers dash and the other is under the air filter box (on my 2001). I've removed some relays in junk cars and the pins were not shiny.
And I'll throw in my favorite part - the ignition switch (a week's pay to the dealer to chase my issue over 3 days and replace the switch). I can't tell you how to test it but it could cause your losing power issue. You should check your voltage drop when the starter turns - it could be going bad and drawing too much power to crank. Wouldn't show up in a parts store battery test.
Just some ideas to consider, I don't have any actual experience with your issue.
Good luck.
