Radiator flushing
The radiator willhave a drain plug if the radiator was equipped with it. It's located on the driver's side in the bottom back corner. Once the fluid drains out, you can proceed withdraining the fluid from the lower hose which would be step to take if the drain plug is not there.
It will also be possible that the thermostat housing may have an air bleed screw on it as well.Take a screwdriver and backit out 2-3 times toallow air in before doing the draining, so the the fluid can drain out better. The screw would be loosened after removing the radiator cap on the radiator. All this being done with the engine cold of course.

is there any environmental issue with letting the radiator fluid just spill out in the back yard ? I dont want to have folks get cancer later because I did something irresponsible. Otherwise I'll just take it to a garage and have them flush it for me. I also have the dex and will be swapping it with prestone 50/50 mix.
No problem changing to green as long as you thoroughly flush all the old stuff out of your system. The two types don't mix well; they form a sludge. Fill with water / run engine 'til warm and coolant flowing through system / allow to cool / drain / repeat at least a couple times before pouring in the new green coolant. Or let a shop do a good power flush...
