I have the stock keyless entry remote from an 04 trailblazer and was wondering if the remote could be programmed wit an 01 monte ss keyless entry even though the remote dose not have a trunk button, and how do you program it?

 

I have a 2003 monte Carlo SS. I bought a new keyless remote cause I didn't get it with one when I bought the car used. I'm trying to program the new remote using a video on line with no results. The car doesn't have the original radio so its not programming can anyone help me do I can program it myself.

 

To my knowledge, you can only get the car into programming mode for the remotes with the original radio or a GM Tech II scan tool (which a GM dealer is your best bet for that tool).
