Default Power adaptor not working

Ok so the power adaptor in the backseat of my 2003 monte carlo ss works but the one in the front seat does not work. How would i go about checking the wiring to this one. How would i remove the center console to fix it?

Hi Paintballerr78,
Please check back to see `if one of our Expert Tech's post a
solution to your Power Prob.
I know it has been answered B-4, but I could not find it
on our MCF Search. Check back 2 see who can help.
Below is a WebSearch answer.

You will need to remove the ashtray, dash plastic, etc., to get at the back of it. Disconnect your battery ground to be safe. There will be one or two wires on it; remember where they were attached. Unscrew the back of the housing; it threads into itself and may be tight. Putting it together is much easier. Good luck.

2 screws under the matt in the cubby hole, and 2 more under the rubber mat in the console. Apply the parking brake and drop the shifter into low, and you'll have enough room to get to the back of it easily.
