My 01' SS mirrors are not working properly. both sides will move in but not out, or up and down.

Of course not, if the fuse was blown then the mirrors wouldn't move at all. The problem is most likely in the switch, but possibly in the motor itself. I'm sure replacing the switch is alot cheaper than the motor (if you can even replace that by itself) so my suggestion would be to start there.

Almost the same problem here. Replaced the switch and nothing changed. Both mirrors tilt up, but that's it.

Might be a bad motor if it's not moving side to side.

I had a van with power mirrors that would only go so far. Best I can figure is someone pushed the mirror in and skipped the gears so it would only move so far back up and then it would click. I had to push it back to center and "realign it" I'm not sure if this is your problem or if it will work on a monte but it may be worth a try.
