I have a 00 SS and the passenger side window will not come down. The switch on that side does not even click anymore it just slides up and down with no resistance. and the drivers side won't bring it down either. Before I go out and replace the pass side switch I wanna make sure that is the first hing I should probably do. Any help would be great thanks

 

if the driver's side switch won't move the window, then the passenger switch isn't broken. It's got to be motor / resistor related

 

are they easy to fix/replace?

 

Yeah just pop open your door panel and take a look at it.

If you don't feel comfortable after you do that, then take it somewhere.

 

also check to make sure you have power going to the swiches / window moter.... but its probibly the moter itself...

 

I would think the driver switch would still have power to it.. no?

 

so would i, but stranger things have hapened.... plus i doubt he wants to dump the $ on a new window moter to find a plug or something is bad.... it could be corroded or something in the plug for the window regulator....

after spending $300 to get my dirtbike to run & discovering the problem was a bad wire, i always try to check the stupied simple things first, lol.
