I would check the switch first. Does the window work normally with the passenger side switch? If so, your window switch on the drivers side may be bad.

if it isnt the switch the motor on your power window may be going bad. and from past experience, if it is bad, replace both. if one goes bad the other is soon to follow

agreed with shingding, ive been looking into this whole gauge cluster going bad and sometimes it works and doesnt, well i know this has nothing to do with the window but im thinking that your motor is probably going bad and sometimes it has the power to let it work and sometimes it just doesnt have enough left in it, let us know how it goes

Usually a when a power window motor goes out, it just stops working, it doesnt intermittently work then not work. Thats more the symptoms of a bad window switch. Like I said, roll the window up and down with the passenger side switch, if you dont have any problems with the window, then its not the motor, its the drivers side switch.
