Default Oil pressure switch help

Need some help and ideas. My 2002 with 3.8 had a leak at the oil pressure switch. I replaced it. All good then about 3 months later it blew oil out of it like a stream and lost alot of oil. Changed the oil and replaced the pressure switch. A couple months later boom started to blow oil out through the switch again. Changed it again today and within 1 hr blowing oil through it again. I thought the oile pressure was to high for some reason so I hooked up and oil pressure guage. Cold start 70 psi after warming up it drops to around 40-45 psi. The car has around 120k miles . Any ideas?

The only thing I could think it would be a is the oil pressure relief valve in the engine sticking. Have you tried a new oil filter at any point after replacing the sensors. I have opened these sensors up before and there is just a thin piece of plastic that is a diaphragm that pushes against a copper disk to break a connection when I believe it's 7 psi and higher. So I could see extreme pressures blowing this diaphragm out. Even though the gauge moves on the dash it just a dummy pressure indicator. The engine calculates this with engine temp and rpm.
