That code generally implies an issue with the cat. What cat are you running, and is it functional?

My point is just that you dont want to spoof the code to go away if theres a legitimate issue. Worst case is it could eventually lead to a cat failure, plugging up and causing drivability issues.

If you're running a high flow (or no cat) and want to spoof it, then we'd need the year and engine to give you options. Beyond just electronic spoofs, there are also options to:
-remove the code via tune
-install a spark plug anti-fouler (O2 extension with a small passage hole to the O2 sensor)

The Stock Cat is clogged tried a cleaner didn't work, just want to delete the cat and not have the CEL light on so it will pass inspection.
2001 Monte Carlo SS V6 3800 Series II That code generally implies an issue with the cat.

I tried the O2 extension but it didn't work.
Never heard of the O2 emulator but seems the the perfect solution

Odd, it looks like they're discontinued as I cant find any 3800 place that has them still. I did find one off brand but it was stupid expensive.

What went wrong with the antifouler? Too big of a hole? I like using the ones with a tiny entrance hole and just enlarge them a bit if needed. But I've seen some that come opened to full diameter inside that cause issues.

could make your own. But if cat really is clogged is replace it as your engine can't exhale, if the catalyst is just not working then above trick will be fine.

Have you deleted the cat yet? Definitely need to correct the issue somehow first.

What did the opening of the anti-fouler look like? If the hole is too big, it may not block enough oxygen from the sensor. That's why I like the ones with a fairly tiny hole - you can always open it, but it's much harder to close the hole up.

Also note if you've got actual inspection, it's still likely itll fail even if the light isnt on. Deleted cat cars have a very distinctive smell, so anyone that knows what they're doing will immediately pick up on it and take a closer look.

As Bumpin' asked, has the cat been deleted yet? I would not do anything until to stop the code until you delete the CAT.

First, I know the CATS are not cheap. But unless you have another reason for deleting the CATS, you really should just replace it and get done with it. By the time you chase all the workaround and try a couple, you consider the time and expenses of trying to avoid replacing the CATS, you could have replaced it anyways. That way, you don't have to worry about inspection and it would be FACTORY. I am also very reluctant to use used CATS unless you know its history. Too many times, after replacing with a used CAT you find it is bad and even if they replaced it with another used CAT, it is still a pain to craw under the car AGAIN.

Just my 2cent worth (worth less than a penny these days).
