Default No start or crank engine light ONLY

Hi everyone 01 Monte Carlo ss been having the surging intermittent misfire issue for a while I've read so much and so many things that possibly fixed the issue.the simplest thing I could think of to start with grounds. Started in engine bay and the last ground I cleaned and put dielectric grease on was the negative battery to body right beside battery platform.now my point is both the body and wire ring were both cleaner than when they went on.got in the car to fire it up and nothing but a check engine light and nothing else. It ended up being that very ground causing the issue.
i hope this helps someone else with this problem.
I will post again if that solved my intermittent misfire at idle and driving issue.

Appreciate the post, my granddaughters car is not starting now. I cannot even get it to crank the engine over. Dash light go off when trying to crank, come back on when letting off the crank position. Not sure if I am having issues with the VATS system of key or grounds. I will be checking that ground.

Default Going crazy

Listen guys, when u are dealing with the no start no crank ordeal with these chevys, it will make u go out of ur mind. I just put a brand new 290hp v6 in my 02 SS,. The motor and transmission was the easy part. It took me a month to figure out the no start theory and guessing which 50 things that could be causing the issue. Let me give some advice if u are gonna start replacing sensors, switches etc. 90% of the time it's gonna be either the ignition or the ignition control module itself. Save urself a lot of heartache and start there.

So the ground cleaning did not fix my intermittent misfire issue. I have since replaced fuel filter and removing spark plugs I found one cracked while removing.i got the new plugs checked gaps and adjusted but I also found that my fuel supply line to backside of rail is secretly leaking.dorman makes replacement o rings part # 800-013 I'm hoping these two issues together will be the fix for this issue.
im growing very tired of constantly working on this car.my 3.4 never had this many issues.i paid 1235 for the car initially and have 1500 or close to into parts and maintenance.i love my Monte but gosh dang is it getting tiresome
