Default Need your help!! Wrong section sorry

I have a '05 SS Supercharged, and a aero guage sensor that I'd recently disconnected (but the other end was still connected to the computer). Today as I was getting in my car the end that connected to the back of the guage was hanging on the floor of the car near the gas pedal (which was wet due to rain getting on floor).
Not paying attention, I turn the car on and the cord that connects to the back of my aero guage sensor fried and smoked out.(It was touching the water) Now my car wont start at all, the radio works-the windows still power up and down, and the head lights come on. None of the lights inside the car come on now and my button that opened the trunk has stopped working. Also when I turn the key all I get is the check engine light. Did I also fry my computer when I fried the connector cord to my aero gauage sensor?

its a possibility you shorted out part of the ecu or bcm but first thing i would do is fix the loose wire and connect it, then check all fuses and then go from there.

I've been there before sadly, this was a few years back but it was one of the fuses in the lower compartment of the two compartments under the hood. Can't remember which on top of my head but after swapping fuses around the car started, I think it was the crank or ignition switch relay/fuse.

Please forgive me but this happened in 2007 or 2008 so my memory of that event is shot. Hope that might give you a lead though, I shorted the passenger side footwell lightbulb socket as I attempted to start the car with a puddle on my floor.

It ended up being a fuse (to the computer I think I was told) even though the burned fuse looked perfectly fine. Put the new one in all lights came back on and she fired right on up like nothing ever happened. I really appreciate the help!
